Authors Helping Authors

We do not come to you as print-on-demand printers, although that is how we will most likely print your book. We come to you as Authors Helping Authors. At WMEBooks…

  • You will maintain control over your work, from its title to its design to its market.
  • We will help you get to market faster—traditional publishing can take upwards of 1-2 years to make it to print—but POD has the ability to get your finished manuscript to print in 2-3 weeks.
  • You, the author, will keep all rights to your work.
  • With WME Books, you have a partner to work with on getting your message to the right people, at the right time, via the right medium.

WMEBooks will help you market your work—to online bookstores, to offline bookstores, to conferences, large organizations, women’s groups online, specialty stores, and anywhere else that is appropriate for it to be.

Authors Helping Authors—it’s our commitment to you and your work.

The Executive Team

President: Yvonne DiVita
Yvonne DiVita began her career as a business and technology writer writing Web site content, business articles, press releases, client proposals, and customer support manuals for leading edge technology companies, as well as new small businesses.

In January 2004, Yvonne’s groundbreaking book on marketing to women online, a POD publication, urged businesses to break out of the old “Dick and Jane” mindset of the 20th century and enter the new millennium where Jane is the gender with the power, the money, and the inclination to shop online.

Publication of Dickless Marketing: Smart Marketing to Women Online, was the reason www.smartmarketingtowomenonline.com was launched—to aid small and medium sized businesses in reaching women who shop online. In addition to the Web site, Yvonne began a blog, http://windsormedia.blogs.com/Lip-Sticking, and continues to update it daily with information on marketing to women online. As a result of the book and the blog, Yvonne has been invited to speak locally and around the nation on marketing to women online.

Yvonne is a member of the National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), has served as a Business Networking International (BNI) Club President, is a Competent Toastmaster, and the VP of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network where she also handles Members in the News. She is a member of Executive Women of Rochester (EWR) and of the Rochester Women’s Network (RWN). In the fall of 2004, Yvonne was honored by RWN as an “Up and Coming Businesswoman.” Yvonne also belongs to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

VP of Production:
Tom Collins After nearly 25 years as an appellate lawyer, Tom joined Windsor Media Enterprises, LLC and helped design and build the author services division,WMEBooks.com. The change flows naturally from his love of reading, writing, and visual communication.

Throughout his legal career, Tom’s work has focused on research and writing. In hundreds of legal briefs and memos, he refined his skills at telling a story in words supplemented by visual evidence. He passed those skills on to other lawyers through articles, a book chapter, and seminars.

In the late 1990s, Tom became convinced that emerging digital technology made it practical for lawyers to create and incorporate graphics into their writing – removing cost barriers to high quality printing and online digital communications. Since meeting WME founder, Yvonne DiVita, he’s been working on a variety of projects, all connected with research, writing and information design, in both print and online publishing.

Tom is currently working on a Masters in Informatics at the SUNY/Buffalo. In his spare time, he writes the Knowledge Aforethought blog, and is working on his own book, Beyond Words. At WME, he continues his love of writing and teaching as he works with Yvonne and Maryanne to train interested companies how to blog via WME’s Business Blogging Boot Camps.

In our WMEBooks.com division, Tom’s work is critical to each authors’ success. Using his many years of professional experience in writing and information design, he oversees the graphic design, page layout, and print production of all our authors’ books.

VP of Operations:
Maryanne Mazurek Maryanne Mazurek is an author much like the people who come to WME for our author services. She is a talented and creative writer who has a high regard for books and the people who write them. As VP of Operations, Maryanne is in charge of all office procedures. It’s her job to make sure each authors is treated as an individual and that his or her needs are addressed appropriately.

Maryanne joined WME in 2005, bringing over 20 years of experience in banking and finance. Formerly, she worked for Grubb & Ellis Management Services, Inc. where she had direct contact with one of their largest clients, JP Morgan Chase Company. Her primary responsibilities consisted of maintaining a $7M dollar annual budget for the corporate and retail buildings of the bank, a task achieved by compiling data on a monthly basis and publishing it into 15 books each month.

Along with her many years of business experience, Maryanne brings community service to her role as VP of Operations, having served as treasurer of her local Pop Warner Football Association for 5 years where she managed an annual budget of $60,000. Like Tom and Yvonne, she is working on a book of her own, and writes a daily blog called Powdering Our Noses. Maryanne is credited with coining the word “bloggersation” as a descriptor to the power of blog ‘conversations.’
